While Nike Basketball may seem to be constantly in the midst of spinning their pinnacle sneaker of the year, the Hyperdunk, in as many colorways as possible lately, here we have an amazingly detailed celebration of the shoe slated for one of the game’s most accomplished young guards. San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker just recently adorned his first ever video game cover along EA Sports’ NBA Live ‘09, and Nike and EA Sports have teamed up to create a limited edition Nike Hyperdunk that is planned to drop this Saturday, October 11th in both LA and New York. LA’s Beverly Center House of Hoops will be receiving 42 pairs, while Harlem’s House of Hoops will have 30 pairs on hand.
Featuring a fully metallic silver upper, this Hyperdunk includes Tony Parker’s ‘TP’ logo along the tongue, as well as a silver pixelated toe cap overlay. With a clear flywire upper paneling and black midfoot and heel wedge, the shoe is also set off by the laces that feature some sick metallic hits. While the upper seems to surely be eye catching enough, it’s the outsole of this model that deserves the most attention, as the translucent rubber bottom features an image of the actual NBA Live ‘09 cover art. Be on the lookout for this ‘EA Sports’ Hyperdunk to also include a highly detailed clear box that includes artwork from the Hyperdunk and its so widely regarded design cues.
