The classic shell-toe is getting a new look with the Spring ‘09 release of a Canvas Superstar at Foot Locker (might be earlier, we’ll let you know). Other than the navy seen here there will be royal, red, and black colors on the way.
Instead of the traditional rubber toe this one is leather, and the upper is canvas. This pair came with standard navy lacing as well as the flashier red/white/blue seen here. The changes are subtle, but it’s a good update on a stand-by silhouette. There is also and adidas compass logo on the collar with adi dassler’s signature across it.

The Nike Zoom Ashiko is a light-weight performance climbing boot. It’s the first of its category to include flywire, and this blazing total-orange/black-anthracite version will release in October at limited Foot Locker doors. Cop these pre-halloween and you can set your feet up like jack-o-lanterns, although I personally would rock this color all year round. So hot. So hot.

A more conservative flnt/gry/blk color-up will drop around the same time for the less bold at heart. More shots of the total orange below and in the gallery. (more…)
If you are looking to pick up the Zoom Lebron VI MVP this Saturday, May 30th you can grab a pair at the House of Hoops. Limited, and highly anticipated, these should go real quick. More detailed shots are below thanks to the store. There are a lot of great touches like the golden “Lebron Jumpman” on the inside of the collar, the way the gold specks in the Lion’s eyes make them look like they are glowing… check it for yourself.

The Foot Locker Exclusive Jordan Hallowed Ground Black/Red colorway will drop in October.

The upper is predominately black and constructed of three different materials. The toe overlay is patent leather while the toe underlay is nubuck. Rich full grain leather runs over the patent leather and to the heel. The lace loops are similar to the Air Jordan X and a red Jumpman is near the heel.

If you happen to live in Atlanta, check out hip-hop artist B.o.B at 7 pm, this Thursday, May 28 performing live at Foot Locker in the Gallery Mall at South Dekalb.
Part of the Reebok Classic Remix collection, the latest drop, and exclusive to Foot Locker, is the Classic Leather Lux — one of the marquee classic sneakers updated to continue its iconic look and feel.
B.o.B (Atlantic Records) re-interpreted classic hip-hop track “Bonita Applebum” by A Tribe Called Quest. The re-imagined track is titled “Put Me On (Reebok Classic ’09)” which is available for download when you purchase styles from the Reebok Classic Remix collection, at Foot Locker stores nationwide.
B.o.B hails from Atlanta, Georgia. At just 20 years old, the rapper – born Bobby Ray Simmons – has become a breath of fresh air in Atlanta’s snap and trap-obsessed scene. Known primarily for the frenetic energy of his song “Haterz Everywhere,” B.o.B scored a record deal with Atlantic Records while he was still in high school. Now, the young rap phenomenon is ready to bring his genre-bending style nationwide with his highly anticipated debut, The Adventures of B.o.B.
House of Hoops drops another NYC tribute with this Vandal Low NYC “Catch a Cab.” The last NYC tribute released in February was a Dunk Hi that had a glow-in-the-dark outsole for “the city that never sleeps.” The newest dedication, a vandal low hitting House Hoops on 6/19, references one of NYC’s more famous modes of transportation (besides the subway). The shoe is all about the yellow cab with its yellow patent swoosh, yellow lacing and outsole, and yellow dots and contrast stitching. The checkers on the cab also make their presence known on the strap and bordering between the upper panels.

Some other key NYC details are the statue of liberty with On/Off Duty details on the tongue, and the sockliner containing a fare guide. More shots below and in the gallery. (more…)

The next generation of the Hyperdunk aims to emerge with just as many compelling color-ups as the original. Another Hyperize colorway is set to launch this December at Foot Locker, in white/black/red. This colorway has a white patent toe-cap and vibrant wht/blk/red outsole. The tongue also features CB4 (Chris Bosh PE….?) although that is most likely a feature of the sample, don’t expect to see the PE at Foot Locker in December, but we will keep you updated. For more shots and info on the Hyperize check out the gallery.
