The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV Akron arrives at House of Hoops this Saturday, September 18th. The shoe supports LeBron’s hometown college (although he never went to college) the University of Akron “Zips.” They are called the Zips, which is short for zippers, because Akron is the home of the BF Goodrich company which was renowned for debuting zip-up galoshes in 1923. Their mascot is a kangaroo because… well… because the student body voted for it. Kind of like the Admiral Ackbar plan working out. Full shots after the jump.
