In this series we take a dive into our extensive sample closet to pull out some long lost favorites that once graced the shelves of Foot Locker stores. Anybody still holding their Air Jordan VIII’s from 1993? We’ve got an original sample that is actually missing the iconic carpet logo normally found on the tongue.

The OG Jordan VIII is known for a few things: Jordan wore them to beat Barkley and the Suns in the NBA Finals (first 3-peat), it was the first Jordan to have straps, and it had a big shag-carpet Jumpman on the tongue. This rare sample actually sports an alternative design on the tongue with a slightly misshapen Jumpman embroidered over a ball and hoop. This colorway was retroed in 2007, but we’d love to see if anyone still has their OG ’93 pair, so hit us up in the comments, Facebook, or Twitter and let us know.
