In this series we take a dive into our extensive sample closet to pull out some long lost favorites that once graced the shelves of Foot Locker stores. Anyone still have the Air Jordan Retro 1 Black/Red from 1994?

The original Air Jordan first hit in classic Black/Red (“bred”) in 1985, but the sample above is from the very first Retro wave in 1994. The shoe is also known as the banned colorway, since it violated NBA rules regarding shoe colors. MJ kept wearing them though, and Nike picked up the tab for the fine. You would be hard pressed to find a more iconic Jordan model and colorway. If you’re still holding your OG pair from 1985, or a 1994 Retro like the one above hit us up in the comments, Facebook or Twitter.
