In this series we take a dive into our extensive sample closet to pull out some long lost favorites that once graced the shelves of Foot Locker stores. Anyone have the OG Air Jordan XII Flu Game from 1997?

The sample pictured here is from the original release of the Air Jordan XII, 14 years ago. This particular Black/Varsity Red colorway gained notoriety when Michael Jordan wore it during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. He dropped 38 points and led the Bulls to victory over the Jazz despite suffering from the flu. The shoe was retroed in 2003, but most will remember the recent 2009 retro version which featured a mostly nubuck upper with “97”, “38”, and a “sick” icon on the heel. Check the luxurious OG, with an upper of rich black and red leather which is surprisingly hefty when you’re used to handling ultra-light modern shoes. If anyone’s got the OG Flu Game’s hit us in the comments below, Twitter or Facebook.
