While the All Star weekend releases are getting hyped up, this weekend is a pretty big one too. Among the kicks getting released tomorrow is the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury Fresh Water. Though it is being slotted into Nike’s Griffey series, the Fury actually pays homage to the Nike Air Diamond Fury, a shoe that Ken Griffey Jr. wore before he got called up to the majors. The Griffey Fury features a 360 degree Max Air cushion and Nike’s Hyperfuse technology on the side panels in the Fresh Water color that Griffeys have become known for from his days with the Seattle Mariners. The Hyperfuse panels along with the alternating mesh make the Fury not only extremely light, but very breathable, as well. The Fresh Water Griffey Fury will release in stores and on footlocker.com tomorrow, February 18 and will retail for $170.
