Tomorrow, Foot Locker will be releasing the LeBron 9, Kobe VII, and Hyeprdunk in a Nike Elite pack in honor of the upcoming NBA playoffs. The shoes, all re-designed from the inside out, will be lighter and more technologically advanced than their predecessors. All three shoes will be released in a white “Home” and black “Away” colorway. In this post, we’ll take a look at the ZHyperdunk “Home.”
They Hyperdunk is one of the most popular shoes in the NBA. It’s lightweight feel coupled with the sturdiness of a high top around the ankle and the versatility of a low top in the heel make it perfect for big men and guards alike. The Hyperdunk Elite is shockingly lightweight, even lighter than its predecessor. The Flywire technology used by Nike is made out of Kevlar, the material best known for being bulletproof. On the “Home” release, the Kevlar is yellow which hooks up to the yellow accents in the laces. The heel is reinforced with carbon fiber and the same arch that is on the heel of the Kobe VII, just without the signature. Carbon fibre is also in the middle of the foot on the sole. Like the rest of the Elite pack, the Nike swoosh is gold, although players who choose to wear the Elite pack will have to earn their gold swoosh through playoff success. The Hyperdunk Elite’s midsole is clear all the way around the shoe.
The Hyperdunk Elite “Home” will be released on Saturday, April 28th for $200. They will be available at all House of Hoops locations and select Foot Locker stores, as well as Footlocker.com.
