The NBA preseason is now underway and we’ll soon start to see a wave of Player Edition shoes for the upcoming season. It looks to be that the first of those will be the Nike Hyperposite Amar’e Stoudemire PE dressed in a full black, orange, and blue New York Knicks colorway. Orange takes care of the Foamposite portion of the shoe while the Hyperfuse lace collar is black. Blue accents are featured on Nike branding around the shoe, on the outsole below a 360 Air Max bubble, and on the shoe’s inner lining. Amar’e Stoudemire’s brand logo of his initials is featured in orange on the shoe’s tongue.

Amar’e and the Knicks open their season against the Nets on November 1 in the inaugural game at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Knicks will be looking for a consistency that they haven’t seen since Stoudemire’s first half season in the Big Apple. New York’s last season and a half has been marred by injuries, coaching changes, and roster changes. Now with a more veteran roster and health on their side, the Knicks will look to attain a top seed in the East that they believe they can reach. A renovated and sold out Madison Square Garden will be waiting for them.

The Nike Hyperposite Amar’e Stoudemire PE will release at House of Hoops by Foot Locker today, October 13, for $225.
