There have been some sneak peaks in the past week of the Nike KD V after Kevin Durant himself stopped by a couple of House of Hoops by Foot Locker to celebrate his new shoe, but the V will officially drop tomorrow in the “Away” colorway of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The most obvious difference between the KD V and the KD IV – which is one of the shoes of the year, if such an award existed – is that the KD V is a mid top that is low on the heel and rises up to the ankle for added stability and a more traditional basketball shoe look. As with all signature shoes, but especially Durant’s, there are features around the sneakers that are personal to Kevin including shout outs to his mom on the toe of the sole, his hometown of Washington DC with pentagon imagery, and his style influences. The “Away” colorway has a black base with photo blue and team orange accents. Take a look at the photos below of the first Nike KD V to hit stores and check out the video to hear from Durant himself on what his new shoe means to him and how it was designed.

The Nike KD V drops today, December 8, at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and online at for $115. A link to buy online can be found below.
