Like the LeBron X “Prism” that also releases today, the Nike KD V “Energy” is a shoe with a plain base that allows the brighter colored accents to pop even more. The KD V “Energy” is a release that may remind some of the KD IV “Nerf” from earlier in 2012. Sport grey takes care of the upper while strata grey, a slightly lighter tone, highlights the midsole and Mag heel counter. The inner lining and Nike swooshes – one on the toe box and one on the side – sport identical bright crimson, green, and violet patterns. Volt laces that are made from the same pattern as a bracelet that you might win at a carnival (tell me you know what I’m talking about) round out the releases color pops.

The Nike KD V “Energy” drops today, December 31st, at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and online at for $115. A link to buy online can be found below.
