On Wednesday night Converse and UNDFTD held a launch event for their Born Not Made collection exclusively at Foot Locker starting on April 13. The never-before-seen three way collaboration between Converse, UNDFTD, and Foot Locker had to have a unique launch event and Wednesday night was just that. Featuring a panel discussion with New York City street photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis, Converse designer Matt Sleep, and UNDFTD founder James Bond, the launch event not only showed off the Born Not Made collection of shoes, hats, and graphic tees but promoted the importance of the street style influenced product being featured in a national retail chain like Foot Locker – through Jarvis’ photography. Whether your style choices are influenced by walking through a Foot Locker or from the people around you in your neighborhood, the Born Not Made collection is designed to adapt to unique individual styles. With its roots in American sports, specifically basketball and Julius “Dr. J” Irving, Converse has evolved its signature look from the hardwood to the streets, while maintaining the iconic value of the brand’s origins. As one of the models, Yago Moravia said best, “In every phase of my life, I’ve had a pair of Converse.”
The collection launches at select Foot Lockers on April 13. Footlocker.com will be having a pre-sale starting today. Links are below.
