Keeping the ball rolling with the popularity of the SpiZike in February, Jordan Brand has dropped another hybrid. Although the Son of Mars released in a different colorway a couple of weeks ago, the Club Purple colorway will be the first one carried in store by Foot Locker. The Son of Mars combines elements from five different retro releases – Jordan 3, 4, 5, 6, and XX. The Club Purple Son of Mars has cement print on the toe and elephant print on the back. The laser-etched midfoot strap is the most bold feature of the shoe and the only contribution from the Jordan XX. The body of the shoe is mostly white with the club purple appearing on the back of the mid sole surrounding the air bubble and on the heel tabs. The tongue as most of you might recognize, is from the Jordan 3. The sole of the shoe is semi-transparent giving way to a Jumpman under the toe and a purple band under the midfoot.
The Jordan Son of Mars will be released in stores on Saturday, April 7 and will retail for $160. There will be a midnight release on Footlocker.com at the below link.
