It’s been over a year since we’ve had the pleasure of bringing you a Jordan Retro III release, so it’s with great anticipation that we can announce that there will be an ONLINE ONLY release of the Jordan Retro III ’88 “White Cement” TODAY. This pair of kicks is most famous for being strapped to MJ’s feet during the epic 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest in which Jordan famously took off from the foul line in his third and final dunk – earning a perfect score of 50 to edge Dominique Wilkins and win the Contest. For those Jordan enthusiasts out there, today’s release includes a very special design change from Jordan Brand that hasn’t been on a retro in recent memory. Even though the White Cements III’s released two years ago, the shoe that releases today will be identical to the OG release in 1988 (hence the ’88 in the shoe’s official name) meaning the branding on the heel will be the “Nike Air” logo instead of the Jumpman that has replaced it on Retro releases. The now-world famous Jumpman logo first appeared on the Air Jordan III and is still featured on the shoe’s tongue. A white tumbled leather upper is complemented by cement elephant overlays on the tow and heel. Fire red accents can be found on the Jordan branding on the tongue, inner lining, and lace holes.

The Jordan Retro III ’88 “White Cement” will be available online only at for $200. A link to buy online can be found below. The White Cement III’s will release at exactly 3:51 CST (4:51 EST) to commemorate the exact time that Michael Jordan won the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, as you can see in the iconic picture of His Airness approaching the rim above.
