The Nike Air Max 2 Strong kicked off 2013 with two colorways as our first releases of the new year. Last weekend, for the first time since then, we were graced with a brand new colorway. The white/atomic teal/violet force colorway is clean and combines the teal and violet that have become some of the most iconic colors in sports – especially in 90′s retro releases. Whether this colorway conjures memories of the Charlotte Hornets or New Orleans’ Mardi Gras, one thing that is true, is that it is simple, clean, and fresh. The old school basketball high top was originally a Charles Barkley inspired shoe. The iconic Barkley teeth poke into the shoe’s smooth and tumbled leather upper from the midsole. Most of the shoe’s accents are atomic teal including the Swoosh, midsole, and Nike branding on the tongue and heel. The hints of violet force are founc on the shoe’s outsole “teeth” and a swoosh on the heel of the midsole. A unique sole in the pattern of a fingerprint rounds out the release.

The Nike Air Max 2 Strong Hi is currently in Foot Locker stores and on for $150. A link to buy online can be found below.
