The Air Jordan 1 is one of the most iconic basketball shoes ever. Before Michael Jordan strapped on the Jumpman, he wore the original “Nike Air Jordan’s,” which he debuted during the 1985 season. That year MJ had many memorable moments on the court in these sneakers, several of which came against one of the Bulls’ biggest rivals, the Boston Celtics. Now, this Saturday, April 6th Jordan Brand will release a new colorway for the Retro 1′s inspired by his battles with Boston. These new retro kicks feature the “Clover/Black/White/Gold” colorways of the Celtics and even include the famous “parquet” floor pattern from the old Boston Garden in the design. The OG “Nike Air” branding appears on the tongue, while the Air Jordan wings logo appears on the side heel. In addition, the outer and inner sole’s are covered in gold as well as the Swoosh design. These kicks are also packaged in the old school Nike shoe box, which will make sneakerheads happy. Pick up a pair starting this Saturday, April 6th at House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores or online at (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $140.
