The year was 1992. The Chicago Bulls repeated as champions for the first time. The Washington Redskins were Super Bowl Champions. The Real World debuted its first season of reality TV on MTV. Michael Jackson was number one on the charts with his hit single “Black and White.” Yes, it was quite the year. That year was also the year that Reebok debuted its newest turf training shoe, the “Scrimmage Mid,” which quickly became a sensation worn by the likes of Dallas Cowboys star Emmitt Smith. Now, for the first time since then, the Scrimmage Mid is back in stores starting tomorrow, Friday, April 12th.
The Scrimmage Mid is a turf training shoe features a molded midfoot strap, PVC heel clip for support and Hexalite tech on the bottom for cushioning. The shoe’s turf-inspired outsole also provides multi-direction training. The two colorways releasing tomorrow should make Cowboys and 49ers fans pretty happy. Even if you’re not a fan of one of those teams this is one pair of retro kicks that you won’t see too often and therefore is a must cop. Pick up a pair in select stores or online (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $100 apiece.
