20 years ago, Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls capped off the first of two “three-peats” during MJ’s tenure with the team. Topping Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns in the Finals, Jordan had the Air Jordan 8 strapped to his feet all season long. To commemorate one of the countless number of Jordan’s achievements the 8s will be making a comeback this year and that comeback will be kicked off by Saturday’s release of the Jordan Retro 8 “Bugs.” Named after the Looney Tunes marketing campaign that accompanied the shoe’s release in 1993, the Retro 8 “Bugs” is officially a white/black-true red colorway. A smooth white leather toe box and cris-crossing straps lead to a perforated side panel with grey ridged suede covering the ankle and heel. The sides of the shoe also feature an artistic pattern that will surely be featured on hook up apparel and hats to go along with the shoe’s drop. The fuzzy Air Jordan logo that made its debut on the 8′s sits on the tongue above a stylized #23 on the straps. As an added bonus, the popular Jordan Retro cards make their long awaited return and are included as a keepsake in every box.

The Jordan Retro 8 “Bugs” drops on Saturday April 20, at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and online at Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 am EST) for $160. Kids grade school, pre school, and infant sizes will also be available. To see which stores will carry this release please visit the Launch Locator here.
