Jordan Brand will drop two very different colorways of the Air Jordan Retro 1 ’93 this weekend. Since the Air Jordan Retro 1 ’93 is inspired by the Jordan Retro VIII (which debuted in 1993), both colorways have adopted the VIII’s multi-color Jumpman branding on the tongue and the stitched “23” on the toe.

The black based Retro 1 ’93, dubbed the “Playoffs”, utilizes black nubuck for the entire upper while red contrast stitching complements nicely with the red outsole. The tongue features black, blue, and yellow chenille material surrounding a red Jumpman. To complete the look, the white inner lining is inundated with black and true red graphics that can be found on the Jordan Retro VIII “Playoffs”.

The white based Retro 1 ’93 may be the same model as its black counterpart, but the two are vastly different. Nicknamed “Electric Green”, this colorway clearly takes its name from the bold electric green accents found on the swoosh, outsole and the Jumpman that make this silhouette pop. In contrast with the “Playoffs”, the “Electric Green” ’93 has a black, red, grey tongue patch and red laces. Plush white tumbled leather make up the upper while neutral grey finds itself on the eyestay and the front panels. Again, red contrast stitching works its way along the midsole and on the swoosh. Black also is used on the inner lining, tongue piping, and the heel quarter panel.

This pack of the Air Jordan Retro 1 ’93 “Playoffs” and “Electric Green” will be sold at House of Hoops Foot Locker locations and for $130 this Saturday, June 1. Check out the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
