Coming up on Sunday, June 9th is the annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade where millions come to celebrate in the heart of New York City. Nike Sportswear decided to join the party by releasing a Puerto Rico-inspired Air Force 1. The Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFT PRM “Puerto Rico” incorporates a bevy of top-notch materials and intricate details. Starting from the bottom up, a translucent outsole showcases images of Puerto Rican culture and tradition. Baseball-like cross stitching in university red wraps the forefoot and the back heel which are made out of buttery game royal suede, celebrating Puerto Ricans’ favorite sport. Tumbled leather can be found on the perforated toe box, the entire eyestay, and the midfoot swoosh. Finally, laser etched graphics that appear on the outsole take over the midfoot-heel section where a triple layered swoosh in white completes the premium offering.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFT PRM “Puerto Rico” will release on Saturday, June 1 at select House of Hoops Foot Locker locations and (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) and will cost $135. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have the release.
