As we’ve come to expect from all Nike Basketball signature player collections, every shoe has a story, and it’s releases like the KD VI “Meteorology” that exhibit the passions and inspirations of the player that we have truly come to appreciate and enjoy. As we first learned with the release of the KD IV “Weatherman” back in 2011, Kevin Durant had an affinity for the weather and wanted to be a weatherman growing up. Like the unpredictability of the weather, KD’s game continues to change with each year that passes, thus his shoe line must follow suit. The new KD VI is a low profile shoe molded together specifically to fit the style of play of one of the game’s best players. Each piece of the shoe serves a purpose, from the two-layer Flywire upper, to the Hyperfuse construction to the Zoom air unit. The unique “Meteorology” design offers additional style to this revitalized silhouette. From the atomic red doppler mapping graphics to the speckled midsole caps, the details of this eye-catching colorway are constructed to perfection.

The Nike KD VI “Meteorology” will release this Saturday, August 3th at House of Hoops by Foot Locker, Foot Locker, and online at (starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT) for $130. Kids sizes will also be available in Grade School, Pre-School, Toddler and Infant. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will carry this release.
