Another day, another modern take on a classic. This weekend, stepping up to the plate is the Nike Air Force Max CB 2. Retaining the same silhouette as the original, the new Air Force Max CB 2 incorporates Nike’s Hyperfuse technology to blend modern style and performance with the classic silhouettes from one of the golden ages of basketball sneakers. The Air Force Max features a Velcro strap that runs from the outside of the foot across the laces and back to the outside ankle. Mesh is incorporated in to the upper, which sits above the classic “teeth” on every Barkley signature shoe midsole. The old-school (and now current again) 76ers colors on this release are interpreted through a deep royal blue/chilling red-white colorway. Charles Barkley was drafted by and played for the Sixers from 1984-1992.
The Nike Air Force CB 2 Hyperfuse “76ers” will drop at House of Hoops by Foot Locker and online at Footlocker.com on Saturday, September 28 for $150. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release and let us know if you’ll be picking up a pair in the comments.
