It’s Peanut Butter Jelly time! That’s right, PB&J has made its way on to a sneaker for the first time, thanks to Nike Basketball and Kevin Durant. The “Peanut Butter & Jelly” KD VI is an ode to KD’s favorite childhood snack. When he was young, KD’s late Aunt Pearl would always bring him peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when he was away from home. She would drop off the sandwiches at the Seat Pleasant Activity Center in Maryland where KD was busy developing his game. His appetite for hard work continues to this day, with PB&J as an ongoing reminder, and he wanted to give his fans the opportunity to share in his spirit. Working closely with designer Leo Chang, Nike Basketball continues to provide personal on and off the court insight of KD through the new color blocking, themes, graphics and textures of the KD VI that help bring his journey to the pro’s to life. Look out for more KD VI’s colorways to drop this season, and get to House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores or this Saturday, October 19th to cop the PB&J’s. Men’s sizes will be available for $130 and a full run of kids sizes – grade school to toddler – will also be available. Check what stores are getting them on the Launch Locator and let us know if you’ll be picking up a pair in the comments.
