The Converse Cons Collection will make its debut at Foot Locker, tomorrow, November 14, with three styles that range from basketball retros to brand new lifestyle shoes.
The Converse Aero Jam – the first Converse signature shoe for 1992 NBA Rookie of the Year and All-Star, Larry Johnson – headlines the Collection 20 years after its original release and ten after its last retro release. The Aero Jam is the epitome of a 90s basketball sneaker silhouette. A black nubuck upper helps the teal accents to pop. The laces of the Aero Jam sit under a removable reversible cover that is held in place by Velcro straps on both ankles and at the top of the toe box. The Aero Jam also features Converse’s React cushioning which was a big selling point for the pair when they were first released. The Aero Jam releasing tomorrow is identical to the original silhouette but uses some different materials to make the shoe a bit lighter. Look for more colorways of the Aero Jam to launch later this month.
In addition to the Aero Jam, the Cons Collection includes the Star Player Plus and the Anarchy. The Star Player Plus is another throwback shoe that will be released with a modern update. Made from a combination of canvas and nubuck, the Star Player Plus retains the classic Converse silhouette and logo. The Anarchy is a brand new shoe from Converse that is inspired by retro kicks but is a new style in and of itself. The shoe has a very clean high top look with a wide Velcro strap across the laces – adding an element of individuality to the shoe. The Anarchy is a great look from Converse staying true to their look while still bringing innovation to the table.
The Converse Cons Collection drops at Foot Locker tomorrow, November 14. Pricing for each shoe in the pack can be found below.
