When LeBron James made “The Decision” way back in 2010 much was made about the fact that LeBron was leaving his hometown of Cleveland for greener pastures (or beaches) in Miami. Well, the King made it be known that his hometown was Akron, not Cleveland, and he’s extremely proud to be from there. Akron, a city of almost 200,000 people in northeastern Ohio, serves as one half of the inspiration behind Saturday’s release of the Nike LeBron 11 “Akron Vs Miami.” The “Akron vs. Miami” colorway combines colors inspires by the two cities that are most meaningful in James’ life – his current city and his hometown. Shades of blue dominate the upper, representing the blue collar worker that Ohio and the city of Akron prides itself on. Atomic pink takes care of the major accents around the release, representing Miami with fluorescent colors, beautiful sunsets, and tropical themes. The “Akron vs. Miami” LeBron 11 is officially a brave blue/mineral teal-atomic pink colorway. All of the colors represented on the shoe’s body some together on the multicolored laces and exposed Flywire technology.

The Nike LeBron 11 “Akron vs. Miami” releases at House of Hoops by Foot Locker and online at Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $200 on Saturday, December 7. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
