The Jordan II was first released in 1986, and made the first major move in establishing “Jordan” as its own brand by eliminating the dominant Nike Swoosh. The white leather upper mixes pebbled and smooth textures. There are touches of red on the piping, classic Jordan Wings Logo, and piecing around the Nike Logo on the heel. One of the original Jordan Brand mash-ups, the Spizike combines elements from the Air Jordan III , IV, V, and VI. The model was made to honor Spike Lee, the famous director who starred in the early Air Jordan commercials as “Mars Blackmon,” a character from his movie “She’s Gotta Have It.”

This color-up has elephant print on the toe and heel of the upper, with white patent and black nubuck piecing covering the rest. There are pops of infrared on the lace-lock and true blue on the Jumpman and heel tab. The lining displays phrases like “i can fly” and “michael jordan flight school.” The outsole mixes fire and ice with a hot infra-red Jordan Logo sitting on an icy midfoot. The AJF8 is the popular Aqua Jordan VIII fused with the classic Air Force 1. Michael Jordan wore the AJ VIII Aqua at the 1993 All Star game and when it was re-released a few years ago it smoked. Check out more shots of these fusions in the Gallery.

The Marathon 10 is a new running model based on the Marathon 80 released in 1980. The shoe is designed as a lightweight (10 oz) marathon training shoe, with a breathable mesh upper. The adiPRENE midsole helps distribute impact and maintain efficient foot propulsion. You can grab the red/light grey/signal blue or signal blue/core yellow/black in stores or online, with an additional black/white/aluminum available online.

Air Total Max Uptempo

Michael Jordan wore the VI when he won his first NBA Championship over the LA Lakers, and this shoe celebrates the historic win. It was the end of the Magic Johnson era, and the beginning of Jordan’s epic dominance. The shoe has a black suede upper, with the Lakers’ touch displaying itself subtly on the contrast stitching which alternates between purple and gold. The white outsole has clear icy piecing which wraps around the midsole, and frames the encapsulated visible air in the heel. For more shots check the Gallery.

Originally released in 2000 as the Air Flightposite KG (Kevin Garnett), this retro has a distinct angular look. The upper is made of a posite shell, and a neoprene zip-up shroud over the laces. The posite piecing is a unique metallic zinc color, which plays off the subdued black shroud and outsole.

Just like the Air Max 3 of ‘09 (which will also make a return in ‘10…), the retro Air Flightposite II LE stayed true to its original silhouette even though it dropped a few Garnett signature details. For more shots check the Gallery.

The Air Max Hyperize is the next evolution of what originated as the Hyperdunk, a shoe that burst onto the scene at the 2008 Summer Olympics featuring Nike’s revolutionary flywire technology and backed by NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. In 2009, with some tweaks to the midsole and more strategic flywire placement on the upper, the Nike Hyperdunk was reinvented as the even lighter Nike Hyperize. Now 2010, the Hyperize has been modified to accommodate a full Air Max midsole to become the Nike Air Max Hyperize.

This colorway of the Air Max Hyperize is predominately silver and grey with volt accents. The grey-based upper features volt-colored flywire and metallic silver for the toe box and eyestays. The volt inner lining forms a trim around the collar and additional line of volt fabric runs up the middle of the grey, mesh tongue. The Air Max midsole is completely volt but the outsole is predominately volt with some grey blocking and a grey Nike swoosh.
