This Thursday, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors appeared at the newest House of Hoops, inside Foot Locker in Serramonte Center in Daly City, California.

It was apparent by the massive crowd that collected in the store, down the mall corridor, and at the back entrance, that not only fans of Stephen Curry, but sneaker fanatics of the Bay Area were excited about the opening of this location.  Welcoming this local fan favorite was Chuy of San Fransisco’s hip-hop and R&B radio station 106 KMEL. Stephen and Chuy hosted a live Q&A session for an enthusiastic crowd where he also introduced Nike’s Hyperdunk 2010, set to release this summer.  A special thanks to photographer Errol Lau for providing us with the shots below.  For more pictures from the House of Hoops Serramonte Center opening, check out the album on Foot Locker’s Facebook page.

People again migrated and piled into a small space for an unannounced Q&A session that definitely surpassed expectations. Carmelo Anthony came through the House of Hoops by Foot Locker in Town East Mall on All Star Saturday, and his fans were definitely excited to see him. People packed in tight from all sides, leaving less space than Friday’s Dwyane Wade’s appearance. Carmelo wore an unreleased colorway of the AJ 2010’s, and even with my extensive searching, to my knowledge, it’s not planned to be released. (Oh, to be a Jordan athlete. . .) He stayed for a little over a half hour, and even when it was time to go, he stuck around and answered some more for the kids. There were a few lucky ones in the crowd this evening as well, as Melo autographed some shoes that got handed out to a few lucky trivia winners.

HoopsTalk is a perennial Q&A session that features a plethora of Nike Basketball athletes. Scheduled to make the appearance today were Shannon Brown, Pau Gasol, Paul Pierce, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant and LeBron James among others. This year, a live simulcast brought the interactive show to House of Hoops by Foot Locker locations across the country and around the globe, and, thanks to Facebook, right into fans’ living rooms, making this a global event. All Star fans in Dallas eagerly lined up outside the crowded store to catch a glimpse of the athletes. Everyone that didn’t get into the store was accommodated with monitors in the windows and throughout the mall to watch the live feed. I, on the other hand was one of the few people that was allowed to move around freely and meet some of the athletes in the green room. One of the few that left a lasting impression was DeMar DeRozan, scheduled to participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest that evening. He was fairly quiet, but was happy to meet a fan and grateful for the encouragement for the evening’s festivities.

Hitting all three HOH locations and select Foot Locker stores, the Phoenix Suns ‘Championship Series’ pack will be available Saturday 2/28. The Lakers and Trailblazers editions have already released over the past couple weeks but here’s a peek at the third. All packs include a Jordan Six Rings, and both home and away color-ups of the Jordan 1 Phat Low. Stay posted for more info on the last two team colorways.

Available 12/27 at all 3 HOH locations (LA, CHI, or Harlem), you’ll have the choice of 2 new Melo M5 colorways. If you watched Carmelo help his fellow teammates achieve the gold medal in Beijing, you may recall him wearing his Olympic signature kicks. The wht/red/mdnvy colorway has the USA basketball logo and 8/8/08 opening ceremonies date on the tongue. And we may have seen the M5 in other styles/colors, but how sick is the black Nuggets colorway? The combination of the black patent toebox, the uniblu outer sole and maize/uniblue pattern on the upper makes it one of the best so far. Did you happen to notice the subtle “A” linked into the pattern on the upper? On the Olympic colorway you’ll find his initials bolded in navy and on the blk/uniblu colorway you’ll find them printed in a maize color. More store pictures below for a better look.

The super secret launch of the DJ Clark Kent AF1 on 11/28 was major. Release info was very closely guarded, and I seriously doubt you could name another sneaker that incorporated pony hair. If you weren’t one of the lucky few to snag this on Black Friday, then it’s time to get lucky and snatch a pair at the Harlem House of Hoops on 12/20. Super limited. Shots below via Freshnessmag

A metallic silver Flightposite is currently on display at House of Hoops locations. Tempting, but not for sale until the 12/13 release at all Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations. It’s going to be a big day with this, the Nelly 6 rings and Dunk Destroyer packs at HoH.

The Dunk Destroyer Pack is back, and hitting all 3 House of Hoops locations (Harlem, LA, Chicago) on 12/13. There will be 3 different Dunk Destroyers, all designed with a color gradient that fades from heel to toe. There is also a Gray/Black satin varsity jacket and cap that matches up with the wht/blk med gray shoe.

Big Apple Nike Zoom LeBron VI comes wrapped in graffiti tissue paper

After the official announcement yesterday, Freshness just posted new detailed shots of the Big Apple Zoom LeBron VI.  For those of you who need to see these on someone’s feet, LeBron will be rocking them tonight in first trip of the 2008-09 NBA season to take on the Knicks. In the past two seasons when LeBron came to New York, he wore editions of his signature sneakers which paid homage to New York City’s culture, including the Graffiti NYC Zoom LeBron IV,  the Yankees Zoom LeBron V, and now the Big Apple version of the Six. This colorway will be available Friday, November 28th at the House of Hoops by Foot Locker in Harlem.
