This special release of the Lebron VII, dedicated to Chicago and tying into the upcoming film “More Than a Game” will drop at the House of Hoops Chicago tomorrow, Tuesday 8/11. Expect to see more city-dedicated Lebron VII’s (just like the VI) coming for New York and LA.

The shoe has a white leather and patent upper, with green/white gradient mesh crossed with flywire. The gold Swoosh on the lateral side is painted on in typical Hyperdunk/Kobe IV fashion, but the medial side has it knocked out of the white leather to reveal more gradient beneath. Just behind the Swoosh is another window in the leather giving way to an image of Lebron and high school teammates at St. Vincent St. Mary. A green speckle mid-sole sits above the 360 max air with gold-lettered “Chicago” at the heel.

A patch with the words “More Than a Game” is sewn on the inside of the tongue. The film “More Than a Game” is set to release in the fall, and follows the early basketball careers of Lebron and his childhood teammates. House of Hoops Chicago was the place to be this past Sunday, March 22, when Kobe Bryant stopped by to launch the new Nike Zoom Kobe IV Lower Merion. Crowds of up to 2000 people gathered at the store eager to catch a glimpse of Kobe and get their hands on his latest kicks, inspired by the athlete’s alma mater, Lower Merion High School. The crimson and white colorway, along with the Lower Merion High School Aces team logo, pay tribute to the place where Kobe’s career really started. While at the store, Kobe took part in a brief Q&A and then signed autographs for fans.

The fun continues at the new House of Hoops at Chicago’s North Riverside Park Mall. Tomorrow’s releases are going to include: the hometown favorite Larry Hughe’s Hyperdunk Supreme (wht/blk/rd), featuring the “homegrown” script on the tongue, The Drew Gooden Powermax (wht/blk/rd), and the Kobe snake-pool Hyperdunk (canyonyellow/purple). Today at the House of Hoops Chicago two Jumpman Pro PE’s are releasing: Ray Allen, (Black/Clover/White) and Joe Johnson (White/Red/Navy). Very limited and very nice. The Ray Allen has “Sugar Ray” stitched on the lateral side, and Joe’s version has his initials and number “JJ2.” More release info to come for Friday and Saturday, lots of great stuff for this opening week.
