Hyperdunk NFW Release only at House of Hoops

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

You may have seen the Hypermax NFW (no flywire) around, but House of Hoops is the only spot to bring the Hyperdunk NFW in four different colors. The first two colors (neptune blue and comet red) hit stores this Saturday 6/20.

The move takes the plastic and flywire performance upper of the hyperdunk and shifts it in a casual direction with fabric and stitching. The popular silhouette remains the same. Shots of the first two colors are below with more after the jump; check back to see the next two colors releasing the following Friday 6/26.

Nike Hyperize wht/blk/red

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

The next generation of the Hyperdunk aims to emerge with just as many compelling color-ups as the original. Another Hyperize colorway is set to launch this December at Foot Locker, in white/black/red. This colorway has a white patent toe-cap and vibrant wht/blk/red outsole. The tongue also features CB4 (Chris Bosh PE….?) although that is most likely a feature of the sample, don’t expect to see the PE at Foot Locker in December, but we will keep you updated. For more shots and info on the Hyperize check out the gallery.

Nike Hyperize White/Grey/Aqua November Release

Friday, May 8th, 2009

nike hyperize wht aqua
Following the much anticipated, highly marketed Hyperdunk of last season, Nike will drop their second installment, the Hyperize this year. The Nike Hyperize looks to match the enormous success the Hyperdunk experienced last year. The Flywire and lunar foam technologies both carry over from last year’s lightweight, high performance model but integrate updates to the upper and outsole.

The Next Hyperdunk: Hyperize

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Hyperdunk 2.0 is here, and the first three colors hit Foot Locker in July, August and September. The new model is called Hyperize and it’s an ultra-light Hyperdunk. It utilizes the same lunar foam mid-sole, and flywire mid-foot support system, but it seems the theme of the update was “streamline.”
There’s less flywire across the upper in a different zig-zagging pattern, and the mid-sole went on a diet. It stays true to the original silhouette, and looks pretty much how a good update should: same core function (maximize lightness) with changes that drive harder towards that original purpose.
Shots below with more details and angles of each in the gallery. More colors to come for holiday so check back.

Pink in February at House of Hoops

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

**UPDATE RELEASE PUSHED TO 2/9**

On 2/1 at all 3 House of Hoops locations there will be limited quantities of special edition Nike product promoting the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund. The fund’s logo is featured on the tongue of special pink color-ups of the Blue Chip and Hyperdunk. A t-shirt and ball will also be available, but the pink NC State jersey pictured is not available. Kay Yow is the coach of NC State’s women’s basketball squad, and is currently on leave battling breast cancer for a third time. Her strength and spirit is an inspiration not only to her team, but to all the NCAA women’s basketball squads, some of which will be wearing the pink shoes on court in mid-February.
The Hyperdunk and Blue Chip will be available in sizes as small as 6 for the first time at House of Hoops, so some of the ladies can cop them without wearing 4 pairs of socks. I hope there are some 11’s left though, cause I’ve got to grab some. Real men wear pink, and real men fight cancer. It’s a win-win. Get yours.
