You’re probably aware that adidas has been a major player in the basketball shoe game (as recent posts indicate). What you may not know is that they’re making some moves in skate. Don’t believe me? Check out this adidas Culver Mid Vulc in Brick/Black/Mahogany, dropping into Foot Locker stores this week.
Classic look. Simple colors. Basic silhouette. The perforated upper gives some depth and texture to the design. This black/red Nike Sweet Classic Low is solid, right down to its vulcanized sole. It will be available at Foot Locker in time for Holiday ‘09, along with some other Sweet Classics, including hi-tops. More shots in the gallery.
Converse is releasing a new line of skate shoes in May, falling under the label CoStar. The release will be part of a larger CoStar campaign urging people to “steal the show” (the tagline is on the shoe’s sockliner) by stepping it up and being noticed.
There are a couple different Costar silhouettes releasing, but the one featured below is the Optium. Like any good skate shoe the Optium has a vulcanized rubber sole to withstand the asphalt beating and a puffy tongue for cushioning.
