Nike Zoom LeBron VI - Big Apple

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Big Apple Nike Zoom LeBron VI comes wrapped in graffiti tissue paper

After the official announcement yesterday, Freshness just posted new detailed shots of the Big Apple Zoom LeBron VI.  For those of you who need to see these on someone’s feet, LeBron will be rocking them tonight in first trip of the 2008-09 NBA season to take on the Knicks. In the past two seasons when LeBron came to New York, he wore editions of his signature sneakers which paid homage to New York City’s culture, including the Graffiti NYC Zoom LeBron IV,  the Yankees Zoom LeBron V, and now the Big Apple version of the Six. This colorway will be available Friday, November 28th at the House of Hoops by Foot Locker in Harlem.

Asics Gel Lyte III - Red / Green / Blue

Monday, November 24th, 2008

A third colorway of the Asics Gel Lyte III is scheduled along with the two others in tonal variations of a single color, the above make their mark with bright hues.

The upper is predominantly red, which is a red snakeskin leather on the toe, side panel, ankle and heel/rear quarter.  There’s some of the same blue we saw on those cool grey joints earlier, a nice orange for accents, and a lime green element on the side panel for an interesting palate.  These colors should be garish, but somehow they work together nicely.  You can cop all three of the Gel Lyte IIIs we’ve posted at select Foot Locker stores this coming December. - Sneaker News

Nike Air Max 90 - Black / Royal

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

A number of Air Max 90’s have dropped recently in similar material and color blocking combinations. The latest from this series will drop in December and will once again feature a tough ballistic nylon mesh on the toe box and upper heel. The rest of the materials include black nubuck on the front toe area and a black premium leather on the side mud guard. The sole is black except for the royal blue in the Air Max Unit. Rounding out the rest of the sneaker are royal blue details on the swoosh, back tab and laces. Look for this AM90 colorway this December at select Foot Locker stores in the US. - Sneaker News

Asics Gel Lyte III - Black/Black

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

The Asics Gel Lyte III is one of those trusty old models that somehow comes out looking like a million bucks in nearly every color.  This new Foot Locker exclusive does more than its share to contribute to the legacy; we want these AND the next pair.

They’re all black save two reflective dots on the outside of the toe. We see textured leather, nylon and mesh, and although they’re not colorful, the contrast of fabrics helps to bring these black beauties to life.  They’ll be available exclusively at select Foot Locker stores in December. - Sneaker News

Asics Gel Lyte III - Grey/Blue

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

There’s just something about the way the lining extends to make something of a sock and the signature asymmetrical, split “tongue” these subtly unique design elements boost the Gel Lyte III, no matter which colors are used.  This pair is done up with textured leather and mesh in tonal greys alongside a cool blue on the Asics stripe, lining and a few other accent points.  Bring it all together and you get an icy winner.  You can find these this coming December at select Foot Locker locations. - Sneaker News

Nike Shox Monster - Playstation AF1 Inspired

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

The Playstation Air Force 1 was probably one of the most well liked and sought after AF1s ever, it was unfortunately a promo only sneaker. A Nike Air Max 90/360 Hybrid Playstation was created as well and was definitely just as nice, again, promo only. For those who had trouble finding a pair of the Playstation AF1 or the Playstation Air Max 90/360 Hybrid, the above Playstation AF1 inspired Nike Shox Monster could serve as an alternative. The upper features a black metallic patent leather holding up a good part of the top and the bottom of the body. The nicest piece is the mesh on the midbody featuring a gradient from white to blue to purple, reminiscent of the Playstation colors. The rest of the sneaker based details are in black including the lining, sole and the Nike Shox units. The last detail calling out the game system are the purple laces, a nice touch to finish off. Very limited numbers of this Playstation Air Force 1 inspired Nike Shox Monster will be available exclusively at select flagship Foot Lockers in early November.
