The Nike Sharkley is a performance basketball shoe best recognized by its large lateral straps, for increased support and stability. A solid reliable shoe, it's a popular choice for real court use and not generally noted as a collectible. Nike is breaking out of that mold with this special colorway, exclusive to Foot Locker, and it is quite a looker. It celebrates the New York Yankees, dressed in navy and pinstripes, but ironically releases during the first MLB post-season the Yanks haven't advanced to in 13 years. Think of it as a shoe to commemorate the end of an era.
