The Shogun is an extremely limited shoe, available in white/red and gold/black, only 504 pairs created for each color. This is an interesting move by Asics, having a Nike Basketball style limited edition release for a running shoe. The inspiration for this unique pair of Asics shoes comes from the original concept of the performance running shoe which was based on the Samurai. The mesh is reminiscent of the traditional Japanese woven textiles and the laser cutting with gold printing resembles the armor and weapons of the Japanese warrior.
