Following the success of previous hybrids the Dub Zero and Spiz'ike, the Six Rings tells the most triumphant story yet. Designed by Octavio Lubrano, the Jordan Six Rings, combines features from the Air Jordan VI, VII, VIII, XI, XII, XIII and XIV into one hybrid shoe. These were the models worn by MJ during his six championship runs throughout the 1990s.
The recognizable XIII tooling makes up the midsole and outsole, and the iconic XI upper can be seen in the black patent leather rand and black mesh panel. The top eyelets are inspired by the VIII and XII, specifically through the VIII's strap and XII's lace clip. The carpet-like tongue logo is another obvious feature taken from the VIII. In a nod to the Air Jordan VII, perforations are located along the patent overlay. Connections to the VI can be found in the rubberized heel pull tab and removable lace lock along the tongue. Finally, while subtle, the toe's shape, at the bottom of the lacing set-up, draws from the XIV's toe cap. -Zac, Sole Collector Magazine
