This is the second signature shoe in the Griffey line, and the first to debut his “Swingman” logo found on the tongue and outsole. The silhouette is made of simple clean lines, and the coloring matches with a fully grey upper rimmed in black along the midsole, piping and tongue. The back of the tongue sports the Nike training mantra “Engineered to the exact specifications of…” but instead of just saying “our athletes” we get a call to the man himself “Ken Griffey Jr” followed by his signature. In 2010 Ken Griffey Jr. could be heading into his final year in the MLB, and he’s back with the Mariner’s where it all started. Seems like the right time to bring back the sneakers that started with him.
