For many, the Air Jordan III was the model where the shoe went from just another cool basketball sneaker to the basketball sneaker. From the cut, to the visible Air unit, to the Nike Air logo on the heel, to the elephant print, the Tinker Hatfield designed Air Jordan III came together in one awe-inspiring package. It also marked the debut of the now world famous Jumpman logo. The White/Cement colorway of the Air Jordan III earned it spot in history by being on MJ's feet when he captured the 1988 Slam Dunk Championship. The shoe truly changed the sneaker world by offering not only daring looks, but performance to go along with them. -Zac, Sole Collector Magazine
