In the 2010 SLAM Kicks issue, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose talked in depth about his latest signature shoe. I think the best way to sum up his view comes from this quote: “I’m fast and it’s light.” Can’t really ask for more than that. The shoe is light and low, although the detached collar gives it the look of a higher cut. This unique collar is made to accommodate the Speed Wrap ankle supports Rose wears on court, but it still adjusts well to players who go with straight socks. The medial side of the upper has breathable Sprint Skin mesh while the lateral side has a synthetic reptile finish.
