Jordan XXII

With the concept of "stealth" at the forefront, D'Wayne Edwards was back on board for the design of the Air Jordan XX2. The F-22 Raptor fighter jet was used as inspiration. Aside from the obvious number significance, the jet embodied the spirit of MJ's playing style. Interchangeable IPS pods returned from the XX1, and a titanium coated shank plate provided a never-before seen level of midfoot protection and support. The heel also featured a specially designed 3M camo print, similar to that found on the jet itself. -Zac, Sole Collector Magazine
